Visa Processing (Ta’qeeb) Service – Full Explanation
Ta’qeeb service refers to completing all authentication, verification, and processing procedures related to a work visa inside Egypt, whether at the Saudi Consulate or other approved centers.
Licensed recruitment agencies authorized by the Ministry of Labor (formerly the Ministry of Manpower) are responsible for finalizing all procedures on behalf of the visa holder, as they are the only entities allowed to deal directly with the Saudi Consulate.
Required Documents
- Proof of profession in both the national ID card and passport.
- Personal photo with a white background.
- Criminal record certificate addressed to Saudi Arabia.
- Employment contract attested by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce.
- Educational qualification.
- Some visas require professional accreditation or a professional skills test.
Saudi-side Procedures (Before Egypt):
- Electronic authorization – completed by the company in Saudi Arabia through recruitment offices or the Chamber of Commerce.
- Attestation by the Chamber of Commerce.
Steps Inside Egypt
- Online application form: 2,500–3,000 EGP.
- Medical exam (Wafid): 3,950 EGP.
- Central Laboratories: booking and payment are done online.
- Biometrics: VIP service 850 EGP – Standard 250 EGP.
Ta’qeeb Service Fees

Inside the Saudi Consulate
- Passport submission on the designated weekly submission day.
- Processing time: 3–7 working days.
After Receiving the Passport
- Obtain the Work Permit.
- Obtain Travel Clearance from the military (for applicants required to do so).
Visa Validity
- Visa validity: 90 days.
- Duration allowed in Saudi Arabia before issuing Iqama: 90 days.
- After that, the Iqama must be issued.
- Exit-only (final exit) is possible during the permitted period.
