Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer – R&D & Product Development to join our engineering team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting automated machinery and mechatronic systems.
The role requires strong practical experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, motion control, servo systems, HMI, VFDs, sensors, electrical control panels, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and machine safety.
The engineer will work closely with mechanical design and production teams and will be expected to participate hands-on in prototype assembly, programming, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and product development activities.
The role requires strong practical experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, motion control, servo systems, HMI, VFDs, sensors, electrical control panels, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and machine safety.
The engineer will work closely with mechanical design and production teams and will be expected to participate hands-on in prototype assembly, programming, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and product development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, machinery, or automated equipment.
Strong practical experience in:
PLC programming.
Servo motors and servo drives.
Motion control and synchronization.
HMI systems.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Sensors, encoders, and limit switches.
Electrical control panels and industrial wiring.
Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
Machine safety systems.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
SEW servo and drive systems.
PROFINET, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP.
Industrial robotics and machine automation.
EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks is desirable.
Ability to work directly with mechanical design and production teams.
Willingness to participate personally in prototype assembly, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Creative and capable of solving unusual and complex engineering problems.
Practical and hands-on approach to engineering.
Comfortable working in an R&D and manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong combination of engineering theory and practical implementation.
Fluent in English.
Arabic language skills are a significant advantage but are not mandatory
